The Rate Technical Virtual Assistant (VA) in Philippines

Some small business in the USA is hiring experienced Technical Virtual Assistant in the Philippines and most of them would want to only pay around $6 to $10 per hour and with the time limit on each task.

Honestly, that rate 6 to 10 USD is very cheap compared to hiring a cleaning service in the USA...

Now, why will I compare maid service or cleaning service to a technical VA?

Virtual world vs. the Real-world...

This is my explanation and how I look at it... hopefully you get the full understanding that VA is no different from cleaning service...

In the real world, we have a house and lot, right?

so in the virtual world that house and lot are compared to website and hosting...

Hosting is equivalent to a lot... like how much space did you buy for hosting company, in real-world how big is that lot in hectare or square meters.

So the lot is where you put your business establishment or house if it is just for personal use ...

Now I think you know by now that website is compared to your house or store - business establishment.

A web developer is compared to engineers, carpenters or an architect in real-world...

Just think about it ok? Some are even software engineer...

Those who maintain your business establishment to keep it clean and tidy are called cleaning service..

in Virtual world those are Virtual Assistant ... they are the ones who keep your website and business goes clean and tidy right? they are the ones who helped you create more money...

If you want that assistant to know some technical parts of your website then hire a technical VA... = more R.O.I. (return of investment) for you!

Anyway, the cleaning service can't help you make money they just clean your surroundings... 

SO...

HEY GOOGLE! How much does the cleaning service cost in the USA?

As Google said it... average of $167... and a charge per hour and per footage = that is square feet right?

So what are the tools these people use:

Maid Service: hmmm... let's see...
Broom, mop, cleaning cloth, soap, water, brush = these tools are not that expensive right?
Skills needed for maid service:
Must detect dirt and remove it. that's it. Anybody can be trained to do that even without school.

Virtual Assistant tools:
Computer and Internet. = you can find the latest prices of computers in the Philippines just by asking Google... believe me it cost way TOO MUCH that the price you see in the USA...
ok let's use the prestigious computer... Apple Computer price... or Macbook and iMac... it has the difference of the huge dollar from the USA... Philippines price is way too expensive than if you buy it in the USA.

OK, the cheapest Macbook Pro is 1299 dollars USD... at the moment the exchange rate of USD to Philippines peso is:

so 1299 x 50.56 = 65,677.44

ok, let's say sometimes yeah! USD reached around 55 pesos per dollar... that only happens sometimes as in VERY RARE!

Now let's see the price of Apple computer here in the Philippines:

SEE THE DIFFERENCE? 

If I buy it in the USA it only cost 65,677.44 but here in the Philippines its 77,990 WHEW!!!

IT IS WAY TOO EXPENSIVE!

They thought that what?

Cost of living in the USA is way expensive than the Philippines... 

Are you sure?

The tools needed for a VA to work cost way too much from the USA price ...

Now the Skills for a Virtual Assistant:

• Must be computer literate, 
• if technical - must be updated in SEO, Marketing
•  and Google algorithm, 
• Must know Excel or Google docs and spreadsheets 
• also certified in Google Analytics and Adwords... 
• ...and the list goes on and on...

Not everyone can be trained to do that... it requires knowledge and skills.

Yeah, so the COST OF LIVING you say in the Philippines cost cheap? 

... well, Think again...

Time is precious... and I do this now and then...

ok, let's go-to seafood section... because I love fish :)

As you can see crabs cost around 1,000 per kilo!
some fish cost around 400+ per kilo...
and Some even cost 156 pesos per piece of fish!

But why on earth does the VA in the Philippines cost so cheap for only $6 to $10!?

I'm not complaining.
Just trying to make everybody realize that the cost of living here in the Philippines is NOT that Cheap as you think...
All prices have been going up!

My point is ... if you can pay that much in cleaning service why can't you pay that much for VA?
