Small Basket and NCCC


Using Tagalog on this post... because its easier for me (^_^) and this site I'm going to review is for Davao City only 😅

So Tagalog / English :)

It is not my first time to order on this website smallbasket.com.ph ... noon hindi ako maka-labas dahil masakit ang paa ko... one of my church mates recommends it dahil nagamit na niya at ok naman...

that time, 200 minimum purchase tapos Free delivery na siya... as in FREE talaga.

And before pag mag order ako ok naman talaga ang lahat ng transactions... KUNG ANO PRESYO SA WEBSITE YUN DIN BABAYARAN MO UPON DELIVERY = NO CHANGES!

Syempre dapat lang ganon! dahil budgeted po pera natin hindi naman tayo o-order ng hindi natin kaya ang presyo.

Well today, pag order ko medyo surprising... not only the minimum purchase is 500 for free delivery (kuno) meron pa siyang charge na 52 pesos upon checkout... so parang 52 pesos yun delivery charge diba?

Anyway, understandable naman yun... 52 pesos... ok lang naman ... pero PLEASE DON'T SAY FREE DELIVERY dahil mali ang TAG LINE 'nyo.

Ano yan pina-LBC, DHL, or postal? 🤣 😅😅😅
lagay niyo nalang kasi DELIVERY FEE diba para klaro 😅😅
Wag na wag niyo gamitin ang words na "FREE DELIVERY" please nakakatawa... 😂





The arrow above ... yun coffee original price upon my purchase was only 308 pesos something... at dalawang bote kinuha ko kaya naging 616.36 pesos

I placed my order Sunday morning April 21, the time for delivery was already full that day... kaya I have no choice but to choose Monday April 22 - earliest for Delivery...

Nakita niyo po sa picture above the order was confirmed!

In any business if you "confirmed" the order both parties should agree...
As what HAVE BEEN CONFIRMED...

Hindi yun upon delivery date ang isa sasabihin "ai! hindi na yan presyo, may increase na siya!"


So Monday morning may tumawag (it usually happens kapag may order ka na wala na sa stock)...
sabi yun ice cream na order ko - avocado flavor walang stock - so they let me choose another flavor...
Ok I choose the Mango flavor...

then she said "yun kape mam nag mahal na siya"
[totally surprised I thought now what?]
sabi ko "magkano na?"
"hindi ko alam mam baka increase ng 15 pesos or ewan lang magkano increase niya"

I said "wait lang, yun kasi presyo binayaran ko sa website kung ano yun, dapat ganon din sa delivery"
"sorry mam increase gyud mi ron kay mao mana ang sa cashier mam"

I replied "sabihim mo muna magkano talaga increase at baka mag cancel ako... isa nalang muna for now... baka e cancel ko nalang yan kung mahal talaga"

sa isip ko kasi hindi naman important talaga ang coffee eh... so ok lang kung e cancel ko yun coffee...

I was waiting for her to call me back... dahil nainis na ako bakit ganon... na CONFIRMED yun babayaran ko tapos INCREASE ANG PRICE ... may ganon?

Before 12noon...

I received a text from delivery man... "nasa gate na siya"...
as in talaga?!

(I was thinking what??? wala pa tumawag for coffee price ah bakit na deliver na kagad? naisip ko baka kinse pesos lang nga ang increase so ok lang.. sige nalang...)

then tadah! pag tingin ko ng recibo upon delivery:


the Nescafe coffee gold price is 350.90!!! This is the smallest bottle ... what???

I told the delivery man ... wala lagi ni tawag balik para sa coffee ... sobrang mahal as in ... ok lang man wala nalang muna ... pwede cancel ko nalang eto?

so he use his cellphone to call their office ...kina-usap ko rin ... told them:
nag wait baya ako sa tawag mo to confirm magkano talaga ang coffee tapos g deliver man dayon ... mahal kaayo ni bah... lahi baya tong original na price kahapon kay 308 pesos lang baya ni mao baya na akoa gi confirmed na price gyud... cancel nalang ni...

sabi ng babae:
ma charge na siya sa akoa mam... sige nalang mam oi gi dali-dali man gud nila pa punch mao wala nako naka tawag nimo... sorry kaayo mam... ikaw lang mam, pero ma charge na sa akoa kay na punch naman gud, considered paid na siya bah sa cashier...

(naawa naman ako sa sinabi niya... I don't want the coffee to be charged on her... anyway may pera pa naman ako pang-bili tapos I remembered what was said in the Bible ... give grace to those less of you... whatever you do to those less of you... you did it to me - said Jesus.)

so sabi ko nalang...
ani next time gani.. pag mag sabi ka mag tawag to confirm the price, tawagi gyud balik ha? kay ngano man gud ga lahi-lahi ang price na confirmed naman gud ang order bah...

sabi niya:
sige mam next time mam.

"sige.. salamat."
pag baba ko sa cellphone ng delivery man... sabi ko ... "bayaran ko nalang lahat... ok na."

it's was my first time to pay using Gcash asked the delivery man to guide me sa Gcash... so there... I transferred the money to the cellphone he told me to...

considered pala parang COD ang Gcash... not like debit card where usually paid before delivery :)

so.. after few hours...dumating eto na email sa inbox ko around 3:00 pm...




grabeh sila noh?

After delivery pa na confirmed ang Sold price na 350.90 for coffee...
para bang nangloloko lang?

Anong una ko naisip?
To write a blog post and definitely post it on all social media platforms para masiraan sila... which is totoo naman talaga nangyari ha... hindi lang "siraan" ... they are the ones who did wrong to a customer!

Then again I thought, if I do that, will that help?
I would be barking and the problem is NOT solved.
At, mabait naman ang mga naka-usap ko sa phone at delivery nila...

So I emailed them instead... to let them know their mistake.


bigla kasi nag over-price from the expected purchase na confirmed na nga eh. At dina-dahilan pa na "increased price" daw? Ganon... after a day of purchase increase kagad ang price upon delivery!? Wala talaga nila na gets anong point ko. I replied this email:


They are responsive which is a very good customer support... and to think we are exchanging email around 23:00 ... which made me think, hindi na empleyado ng grocery ang kausap ko, baka talaga higher admin na or maybe the one who manage the website or even the owner itself.

wala naman ako gawa-gawa sa mga salita ko ... I have all the evidence... mahilig kasi ako mag screenshot on every moves and purchases I make in any website, I do not close the page right away.

And the Nescafe Gold bottle I purchased to them just January 28, 2019 (not December last year), is still here dahil may laman pa siya kunti. (I saw the date of purchase upon writing this blog.)


if you notice even the tomato was doubled... Yan coffee na Nescafe Gold was the biggest bottle it only cost 468..



So take this as a Tip...
To always screenshot all your purchasing activity.
para hindi tayo ma-gago as online customer.


Mabait naman ang reply sa email it seem they will try to avoid the same scenario.

I pray they will realize ...
  • wag magpabago-bago ng presyo na ngayon ganito - bukas increase na kagad... eh na booked na yun item ah!
  • Tapos kung ano ang nabili mo ngayon by next month may increase na kagad yun same item nabili mo. See the Tomato from 37 pesos to 69 pesos... Coffee from 468 biggest bottle ngayon the smallest bottle is 390!


Anyway, ok mag increase kung gusto bah nila mag increase eh... basta wag nila e-damay pag naka purchased CONFIRMED at ready for Delivery na.

Kung gagawain parin nila in the future...

Well that's the reason why I'm writing this blog post now... just for my own journal... at mayron ako evidence in the future kung sakali man mangyari eto ulit.

Will I still order to smallbasket.com.ph? pag kaya pa sa budget... :)
