2009 Chinese New Year of the OX

Happy Chinese New Year everyone (^_^)

I received some few text messages yesterday Sunday from friends, officemates and relatives that Today was holiday!

I have never heard from news (or in our admin) that our President Arroyo did declare a special holiday today but since the text messages comes from working people themselves, and said that they don't have duty today; I was curious, and so I told our admin this morning and I think it was Ms. Mai who researched at the Internet... after wards she told me that today was just the usual working day and not holiday.

Then finally I research myself on the Internet and found this from Department Of Labor and Employment (DOLE):

President Arroyo declares Chinese New Year a special working holiday
Friday, January 28, 2005

oh... is this they were talking about? ... hmmm
As found from this site www.dole.gov.ph I would like to add in my post the said information:

President Arroyo declares Chinese New Year a special working holiday
Friday, January 28, 2005

President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo has declared Wednesday, February 9, 2005, as a special working holiday throughout the country for the observance of the Chinese Lunar New Year, Labor and Employment Acting Secretary Manuel G. Imson today announced.

In an advisory to all employers in the country's private sector, Imson said the President's declaration is contained in Proclamation No. 756 she issued through Executive Secretary Eduardo R. Ermita on January 11, 2005.

According to the labor and employment acting chief, the rules for declared special working holidays as provided for under DOLE Memorandum Circular No. 01 issued on March 8, 2004 shall apply as follows:

1. For work performed on such days, an employee is entitled only to his/her basic rate.

2. No premium pay is required since work performed on such days is considered work on ordinary working days.

Well basically and obviously today as what Ms. Mai said (was right) No Holiday and on the information I copy paste from DOLE did said on Friday, January 28, 2005 No premium pay is required since work performed on such days is considered work on ordinary working days.

Ayan! siguro naman klaro na gyud kaayo na walay additional pang laag karon buwan... dili man gud inchik atong president da!

Happy New 2009 Year from Ice9web

Happy New 2009 Year2009 Another New year, also means new ways and new beginnings, for all the heart aches I have in previous year 2008, let's forget and NOT mention any negative memories in this post as it is a part of NEW BEGINNINGS and ways to change for the better...

As the photo herein (the round Sweet Leche-Flan) I would interpret it as life has ups and down (round) and sometimes sweet and leche! (^_^) wahaha! ssshhh bad words yan ssshhh excuse me poh... and the white ring from dark background signifies if we realize that
"God may not give us what we want but He gave us what we need, He is never late but always on time."
the blessings I have in 2008...

...like the Canon IXUS 80is with Calvin Klein shades (^_^) and of course I won the Nokia Cell Phone weeeiii!!! there are so many material blessings that I have not mentioned in my blogs...

And also true precious friends I discover in my Christian Life experiences and my career life is getting better as I realize it's mainly not the environment that has the problem but it also begin in the way we interact with others.

My blogging life was colorful in year 2008 not only did I got to visit GenSan to experience the 2nd Mindanao Bloggers Summit but also enter the Casino Filipino (for the first time) to attend Janet Toral's Digital Filipino Bloggers Fellowship Night (^_^) it was a getting to know blog-mates as well as eat and drink all you can while you can! until supply last ahihih syempre hindi naubos yung supply sobrang dami eh!
and I will never forget that I finally meet Matt Mullenweg the creator of Wordpress (oh! he is really handsome...ssshhh...) Thanks so much to Blogie Robillo for the Wordcamp in Davao City.

Positive resolution for better life.

For all the persons I hurt in previous years that I may not know and known, I want to ask for forgiveness, I may not be able to communicate with you personally but I hope you will read this post
"I have manage to get over the heartaches and misunderstanding we had and even if someday we will meet and cross our path, if you may need my help I can give it while I can."
with the help of the Lord God and prayers I do hope to change for better life.

Life is never perfect, anyway who has perfect life?

I realize that we have to count our blessings and not our misfortunes.

Wishing for more success and happiness with Love from above.

Cats and Dogs at Rizal street Davao City

December 29, 2008

It was my first time to go at Cats and Dog at Rizal Street Davao City, because some of college classmates were there and they wanted to see me and join with them, at first I was hesitant because of the place was located near beside so many bars... but they assured me that they will wait outside as soon as they receive a text from me...

Cats and Dogs at Rizal street Davao CityCats and Dogs at Rizal street Davao CityAnyway I went there with a taxi, hmmm about the place it was a videoke bar with small rooms for each group, the room was air-conditioned but not that well ventilated, so in short "mainit talaga".
Though the ambiance was not that comfortable we had fun because of the enthusiast in my classmates lalo na sa part ng kanchawan between papa ramon and mama ice daw! wahaha! here are the pictures (^_^)

Oh by the way it was a good thing that there was no drinking involve all of us were good cats and dogs (^_^).
